Courtney Chalfant is a former Hospice nurse and has been a yoga practitioner since 2004. Courtney is passionate to share the intimate relationship she experienced with God on her yoga mat. Her faith and her practice have always been joined together. In early 2005, she founded Yahweh Yoga LLC with her mother DeAnna Smothers a 30-year long yoga enthusiast. Courtney is the co-author of Christian Yoga, Restoration for Body and Soul and has a new book scheduled for release. Yahweh Yoga has 12 DVDs out which are sold internationally. In 2012 Yahweh Yoga also released a new line of clothing and luxury spa products.
Courtney’s expertise is regularly sought out and featured in yoga and Christian yoga related articles for mainstream publications including; Yoga Journal, The New York Times, Arizona Republic among many others. She is available for workshops, church events and yoga festivals. She has been a presenter at such events as Yoga Rocks the Park and Sedona Yoga Festival. A 2-term lululemon Ambassador, she was chosen in 2012 as one of 70 elite athletes to attend the lululemon Whistler Canada Summit.
